No Translation Needed
Tropical breezes assault me
As I step down
Moisture envelops me, sensuously
Moisten lips desperately
Pulse speeds up
Lost in the baggage
Standing all alone
In the crowd
How did I get here?
Chardonnay’s dulled my mind
Edgy, nerves on fire
As I look towards the sea
Imagine anything, everything
Brace my shoulders
Pick up my suitcase
There is no need to translate myself
Here I am..all alone.

About redcontroversy
I'm a stargazing, skywatching, storm loving, sungazing addict. Environmentalist, political blogger, professional photographer, writer, artist...my favourite quote is:
"If the sight of the blue skies fills you with joy,
if a blade of grass springing up in the fields has power to move you,
if the simple things of nature have a message that you understand,
rejoice, for your soul is alive".
~ Eleonora Duse ~
...my soul is definitely alive.
This one hits me in the guts..really! I have felt this way many times travelling on my own.
