SHORT FATE

Was this love or hell?

Was this love or hell?

Stagnant words, false pleasures,

Was this love or hell?

Sumptuous embrace,

Conceived feelings.

Hanging onto realities edge,

Afflicted torrents of doubt.

What short fate,

Rules this?

Revolving moods, flawed imperfect.

Unchallenged and dormant,

We shall let it lie.

What heaven to recollect,

Memories of soft thought.

Brims of love,

That could not try.

I know I'm a stargazing, skywatching, storm loving, sungazing addict. Environmentalist, political blogger, professional photographer, writer, artist...my favourite quote is: "If the sight of the blue skies fills you with joy, if a blade of grass springing up in the fields has power to move you, if the simple things of nature have a message that you understand, rejoice, for your soul is alive". ~ Eleonora Duse ~ ...my soul is definitely alive.

Estee, your expression of love covers so many dimensions. From grief, joy to anticipation. Your words always land softly on me and with the greatest of pleasure.

Estee, I’ve been a big fan ever since that memorable day when I got lost looking for GPS information on the internet and ended up here. Haven’t looked back LOL. Never thought a macho guy like me could enjoy poetry so much. Keep them coming.
