ONCE UPON A TIME
.
I picked up my pen and decided to start writing, it has been a catharsis for me. It can be painful and at the same time joyful. It teaches you things you never really knew about yourself. You can express all kinds of emotions when you write. It’s okay to let people know when your sad, angry, in love, hurt and sometimes happy. It’s also helped to write about personal loss and grief.
I write these days because it also allows me to procrastinate! Keeps me from vacuuming and doing all kinds of mundane tasks that are no longer at the top of my list. It’s a unique way to diet! Write a few chapters and the emotional release allows you to feel like you’ve lost five lbs. or more.
I write because I never know what is going to fire up my imagination, it’s actually alarming some days especially when I’ve forgotten to bring anything to write on. It’s not the same as putting it onto your iphone you know what I mean! It’s like writing music, it all comes together in a magical way, usually. Your own special notes and rhythm. Writing fills me up quite literally.
I am writing my own fate. I like the sound of that! Writing helps to make sense of who you are and where your going. It helps you to validate your life or process it, if that sounds better. I plough through my truth and some days it’s brutal and messy but authentic.
I write because it lights my world and there is magic all around me.
I live it then I write it!
