How many frogs do I have to kiss?

How many frogs do I have to kiss?

Sipping on my coffee this a.m. and this question popped into my head. I have had  a couple of girlfriends call me this week who are stressed about Valentine’s Day. Their first time without a love in their life. It really got me thinking. I’ve been on my own for sometime now and I can’t say Valentine’s Day has struck me with any kind of particular sadness because of that. I suggested they think about how awesome it is to be alone and one isn’t necessarily the loneliest number after all.

My suggestion was to have a day at the Spa and really love yourself. Do something special for a good friend or how about singing some Karaoke in the shower. Then chill with a bottle of bubbly, some high powered carbs and revel in the fact that we do NOT have to deal with the unmet expectations of generic forced compliments. And what about the crowded cheesy restaurants with the heart décor?

Take the pressure off and have a dozen roses delivered to yourself. Put on your sweats and sloth in front of the tv, enjoy some time with no self control. And put on some “Reasons why your single songs”.. my personal favourite.. “The Princess Who Saved Herself”  and “That Don’t Impress Me Much“.

So my girlfriend’s question was …Just how many frogs do I have to kiss until my prince  comes along?….My answer.. A few!….After all I’m still waiting for mine to show up on that white horse and we ride off into the sunset together.

Happy Valentine’s Day to all my friends and readers.. I wish you L*O*V*E
