And just like the saying above I’m still learning that the choices we make daily are the ones that lead us down that road to happiness and fulfillment. My journey this summer has opened many doors to peace and insight, getting in touch with nature ultimately shows you who YOU are. It has shown me how I choose to live my life and it’s about getting rid of these words…“shoulds” – doing what you believe you should do, pleasing others – doing what others want or expect you to do, fear – choosing the safe route for fear of doing something different, habit and reaction.
My reflections inside this old church this morning came with some understanding that a definition of spirituality emerges from an understanding not only of the nature that surrounds us but of the nature of the whole person….

“Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today and creates a vision for tomorrow.” …Melody Beattie
