I’m always sweeping the horizon, camera ready in anticipation of shooting that magic moment. This afternoon I had unanticipated action.. the best kind! I’m never ready with the right lens, hate tripods and I know that particular moment will be there without all the fuss. It truly is all about capturing that moment and not the scene. I’ve tried to explain my feelings about this to many people most don’t get it. I like wild, rugged unplanned events that just unfold in front of my camera lens. Large panorama’s that take you right there a week, month or years from now when you go back to re visit your photo’s. Beauty is definitely in the eye of the beholder and you will never see technical perfection in my photography!
I only wish I had been closer….you never know what your going to see in a prairie pasture. Just capture the moment!

Enjoyed your Wild Moose Moments. And I get it. I know absolutely what you mean. Instead of appreciating the great moments I’ve caught in photos I remember the ones I missed – like the black bear and her two cubs that ran across the road in front of our car. I need a camera on my forehead and a shutter-release button on my knuckle.
LOL.. that would be great !!
awesome!
