This past summer my son and I decided to go on a road trip which took us across four provinces and we fell into more than a few accidental adventures. All of them exciting, some hair raising and there were also the moments when we reconnected with nature and each other around our campfire at night. Simplicity of thoughts, no urban distraction and cell phones off. It truly was going to the forest with good intention, calm meditation and receiving answers from nature’s sources in more ways than one.
One particular night as my son and I were packing up and getting ready to hit the road he remarked casually, “Mom, I’m pretty sure I saw a UFO last night”. He’s not one to embellish and I asked him what it looked like. He described it as being a floating light that would remain still and then rise and finally sped off very fast. He watched it for about five minutes. I told him he was very fortunate to of viewed it, many people never get to see them.
The next night was my turn. I was almost asleep and what caught my attention was flashing lights. I looked over at a hedge of trees and It appeared to have dozens of dancing orbs moving so fast back and forth it was as though they were moving to their own silent chorus. I didn’t dare move or run to get my camera, I just wanted to absorb every moment of what was happening. I had the sense they knew I was there and all at once a very large orb seemed to rise from the ground and just hover over the hedge. At that moment they all seemed to signal each other and dashed off into the dark night.
This had to of had some meaning I thought but what were they trying to show or tell me. Were they spiritual beings from a higher inter-dimension, souls, or disembodied energies? I tried to attach all kinds of descriptions to what I had experienced but then decided I couldn’t. I felt I was naturally intertwined that night with nothing but positive energies and it was a mutual reciprocation.
And just as I stood humbled in the presence of magnificent Grizzly Bears earlier in the week I accepted this too in silent awe… that night in the forest.
