This week I enjoyed some time with my grand children and realized once again just how delicate  the thread of life really is. In one second your life can be altered forever. I had my grandson by my side and we began to cross the street in a walkway. There were five cars stopped for us and just like that a driver was annoyed at the wait and pulled out of line up to pass on the wrong side of the road. None of us really know how we will react in a moment like that but I do know when I saw the car coming at us at high speed and only two car lengths away the adrenalin kicked in. I pushed my grandson out of the way and I was fortunate enough to clear just in time. The driver never looked back, just gunned his car engine and kept on going. There were people on the other side of the street who seemed to be moving in slow motion, they were all waiting for the impact, thank God there was none.

Make all your seconds count. Stay alert, stay safe.

So very happy this turned out the way it did Estee. I’m sorry you and your grandson had to experience this. Wise words about the life changing second. I gave up my license three years ago as I know I don’t have the reflexes I used to have on the road. Be safe my dear!
