My nature fix today got me to thinking about how hard it is sometimes to be true to yourself. That heron out there was just enjoying the day and ignoring the petty seagulls that would land at his feet. It was almost as though they were vying for his attention. He wasn’t minding at all to stand out in the crowd.
Sometimes it’s just about learning to say no when your instincts tell you something is all wrong. Hang onto your individuality, embrace and celebrate being different…it’s okay.
And like these horses I photographed it’s about feeling comfortable in your own skin wherever you are or who ever your with!

“The thing to do, it seems to me, is to prepare yourself so you can be a rainbow in somebody else’s cloud. Somebody who may not look like you. May not call God the same name you call God-if they call God at all. I may not dance your dances or speak your language. But be a blessing to somebody. That’s what I think”. ..Maya Angelou
