WHEN BAD THINGS HAPPEN…

th

My brother lives in a small town in Alberta.. he moved there with a dream to build his own log cabin and lead a life more attached to the land. His dream was shattered a few days ago when he walked into the small town bank with an armed robbery in process. His first comment was, “Do you guys really want to do this, you’ll spend the rest of your life in jail”.. They took the gun and pistol whipped his head knocking him out… he’s okay but traumatized. He hasn’t slept since his ordeal and is busy kicking up security around his property….I told him not to let the incident rule his life now but things like this usually mean we never really get over them.Sometimes it’s as simple as just being in the wrong place at the wrong time, there is no reason.

We all have bad things happen to us….it’s the way that we handle them that defines us and makes us different.

Be safe out there and Happy New Year to each and everyone of you..

I know I'm a stargazing, skywatching, storm loving, sungazing addict. Environmentalist, political blogger, professional photographer, writer, artist...my favourite quote is: "If the sight of the blue skies fills you with joy, if a blade of grass springing up in the fields has power to move you, if the simple things of nature have a message that you understand, rejoice, for your soul is alive". ~ Eleonora Duse ~ ...my soul is definitely alive.
