I welcomed the Robin on my windowsill this morning. The heralds of Spring are all around me signalling hope and new beginnings. Gordon Lightfoot sang it best.. “…The promise of spring / Pussy willows, cat-tails, soft winds and roses. ”
This season seems to be moving faster I’ve noticed.. magnolia petals and cherry blossoms are blanketing the earth everywhere creating a beautiful floral carpet. Daffodils are already drooping and I admire their beautiful and brief hello.
And who can resist to sit back and revel in the clear musical call of the Robin …often phoneticized as “cheerily, cheer up, cheer up, cheerily, cheer up.”
Wishing you wonderful Spring beginnings.
