It’s always a thrill for me when I create a small outdoor sanctuary not only for myself but wildlife and discover that they have taken up residence. I like to think of it as “birdscaping” and something as simple as a hanging basket offers refuge and shelter for this lovely wren and offers me many hours of pleasure watching her come and go and waiting for the babies to hatch. It is said sadly that you must never look for birds of this year in the nests of the last.
