It’s always amazing to me when two people can look out the same window and never see the same thing. My son’s response this morning to freshly fallen snow was everything looks dead and cold! I laughed and pointed out to him that he couldn’t be more wrong. The Rufus Hummingbirds were buzzing around the feeders and the walnut I had placed out the night before for the neighborhood squirrel was never more appreciated as he took his shortcut through my yard this morning.
Yesterday I was picking Christmas roses from my garden, still beautiful and blooming..this morning they are topped with snow icing but still just as beautiful in my eyes.
May the melody and spirit of the holidays fill your home with love and peace. Have a blessed Christmas.

Absolutely wonderful pictures and thoughts, Estee. You always give me a lift. Thank you.
blessings to you and yours, red, as you celebrate the season!! love the rose photos……i think nature is beautiful in all its seasons…..and i love the way you catch it all on film and share with us! 🙂
I totally agree with you, although here in town we didn’t get any snow. My brother, sister-in-law, Sarah and I went out to Langford to go bowling and were surprised by all the snow out there. Sarah wanted us to go home to get Sophie (our dog) who LOVES the snow, but we had a reservation at bowling. Merry Christmas to you and all your family and all the very best for 2018. We really do need to get together to catch up!
