I have been observing with interest a rock formation that has been developing in my garden for the past week. It would seem that today it is perhaps complete as it now forms a full circle. The stones from my garden seem to be too big for a squirrel to manipulate so perhaps a raccoon? But then why has it taken him so long to finish and I wonder does this day have some significance. I remind myself that most of the things that happen in this world aren’t signs. They happen because they happen, and their only real significance lies in normal cause and effect.
So here I am at the beginning of my wonderment this New Year’s Eve thinking that the circle symbol meaning is universal – it represents the infinite nature of energy and the symbol of the universe. How fortunate am I that my garden once more revealed its puzzle pieces to provide a bigger picture of my view of nature in my backyard.

“Each New Year, we have before us a brand new book containing 365 blank pages. Let us fill them with all the forgotten things from last year—the words we forgot to say, the love we forgot to show, and the charity we forgot to offer.”
