Bird watching definitely helps us accept things we cannot control. I barely felt the pouring rain this morning while watching these beautiful Eagles. It was only when I felt the wet soaking through my coat that I decided it was time to go. I was surprised that three hours had passed since I began my trek, it really put things into perspective. I felt free and wondered about people who call bird-watching “nature’s yoga”. I had to agree that it does have a restorative effect on mind and body.
“To be standing together in a frosty field, looking up into the sky, marvelling at birds and revelling in the natural world around us, was a simple miracle. And I wondered why we were so rarely able to appreciate it.”
